Five generously dimensioned and logically arranged displays inform the user about all relevant values of the insufflation at any time. The expanded LPS (low pressure insufflation system) assures maximum safety, particularly in preselectable, neonatal* and also bariatric applications (up to max. 30 mmHg). The insufflation pressure is limited to the preselected value, which efficiently prevents, for example, a possible emphysema (in case of a misplacement of the insufflation instrument in the tissue). Safety features such as active exsufflation in case of sustained overpressure in the connected body cavity are ensured. The newly created, automatic diagnosis function allows quick servicing of the units. This makes the annual service easy and fast. An external gas filter in the gas supply line prevents contamination of the device and thus a risk to the patient, e.g. from contaminated gas. The proven insufflation gas heating system by means of an autoclavable heating tube* is available as an optional extra. The intended use of the Laparoscopic Insufflator AlphaDuoLap is to establish and maintain a pneumoperitoneum with CO2 gas for operative Laparoscopy. The ultra low insufflation mode of the device is indicated for pediatric use
